Oil and gas jobs dominate Scotland’s election battle
Uncertainty over the business environment for the UK North Sea remains a significant concern for independent energy companies.
Viaro Energy has confirmed that all conditions have been met for the completion of its farm-in agreement with Hartshead Resources, Offshore Engineer reports. Viaro subsidiary, RockRose Energy has acquired a 60% working interest in Licence P.2607 in the Southern Gas Basin in which Hartshead is undertaking a phase redevelopment of gas fields. Phase 1 of the project will see the redevelopment of Anning and Somerville with peak production rates estimated to be 140mmcfd, net 85 mmcfd to RockRose.
