RockRose Energy was established in 2015 with the aim of creating a low-cost exploration and production (E&P) business of scale. The company grew rapidly through strategic acquisitions of non-operated asset packages. In 2020, RockRose Energy was acquired by Viaro Energy
Our Assets
Since the acquisition, Viaro Energy’s upstream interests in the North Sea have been consolidated through RockRose Energy, which serves as the company’s main operating subsidiary in the UK and Dutch North Sea. With predominantly non-operated gas assets in more than 30 fields, 2023 marks RockRose Energy’s return to operatorship. Through Viaro Energy’s acquisition of a 60% working interest in a Southern North Sea development, RockRose Energy has entered into a farm-in agreement with Hartshead Resources Ltd.
