UK Northern North Sea

RockRose Energy acquired a 15% non-operated interest in the Bressay oil field (UK Northern North Sea) and a 15% interest in the EnQuest Producer Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit from EnQuest in late 2023.

Bressay Field

The Bressay field is considered to be one of the largest undeveloped oil fields on the UKCS. The field is operated by EnQuest, and studies are ongoing to progress Bressay to development via an early production system (EPS) utilising the EnQuest Producer FPSO.

Equity: 15%

Status: Pre-development

Location: Discovered in 1978, Bressay lies in UKCS Blocks 3/28a, 3/27b, 3/28b, 9/2a, and 9/3a of the Northern North Sea, east of the Shetland Islands.

Potential: The Bressay field contains more than 115MMbbls of gross 2C resources with an estimated Ultimate Recoverable volume of 285 MMBBL. The EPS development is expected to deliver approximately 35 MMBBL, with learnings from the EPS being utilised to progress plans for full field development.
